Are You Ready For Winter Season- Essential Winter Tips

Feel the chilly wind blowing? Your blankets are out. Geysers are on. And the coffee is getting cold too quickly. Well, that’s how you know that winter is arriving, and it’s arriving fast! Winter season is really beautiful and cosy but it can also make you fall sick very easily. It is important to stay healthy during winters as well. And these are the few ways you do it:

  • Stay hydrated – Don’t let cold weather be an excuse for you to ditch the water bottle. The body is mostly made up of water and if the percentage of water decreases, you might start feeling dehydrated. Even if we don’t sweat during winters, we need to keep our body hydrated in order to keep the function of organs proper!

  • Goodbye to dry skin – During winters our skin dries up quickly. The fix is to keep yourself hydrated in all ways possible. Our lips have no oil glands at all, leaving them extra vulnerable to dryness. Just drinking water isn’t enough. You need hydrate yourself with tea or juices as well. It is also important to slather your body with lotion. Avoid taking too hot showers.

  • Keep yourself active – Each year we resolve to stay fit but as soon as winter comes, we tend to exercise less. We must break out of the exercise rut and exercise in short spurts. Skipping, Hula hoop, running or squats can help your body stay active and prevent illnesses too!

  • Ward off the cold – Dripping nose and scratchy throat? Well, that’s when you know winter has come! You should drink hot tea, soups and avoid any cold food during this season to avoid catching a cold.

Let not this beautiful season break you down! Stay healthy and happy this winter season!
