As humans we tend to develop soft corners for people who walk that extra mile for us, just to make us happy. Be it friends who stood by through the turbulent times of our lives; or our parents for their unwavering love and forgiveness. It’s their endless affection that doubles up as gratitude in our conscience. Similarly, we are supposed to bear a soft spot for that vital organ too, that has been beating dutifully in our chests since we were born, helping us cherish life in all its shades. But given the global statistics of cardiac ailments that are swelling by the minute, it only reflects our poor show of being responsible towards our hearts. It’s high time we pay our gratitude by giving up on toxic habits that brutally affect the wellbeing of this beautiful organ.
In an era governed by technology, sedentary lifestyles have become a choiceless obligation. Not to mention the myriad fast-food joints mushrooming across the place had successfully managed to substitute the healthy constituents on our plate, besides winning the heart of our taste buds. Resorting to alcohol/tobacco addictions as an excuse to cope with stress, is yet another example of us happily making the hazardous moves. Here’s a brief overview of healthy choices that we must adhere to enhance our cardiac health:
Indulging inactive lifestyle that includes sports/exercise.
Replacing the junk food in our diet with fresh fruits and vegetables.
Abstaining from tobacco and alcohol addictions.
Maintaining healthy body mass.
